We’re thrilled to share some exciting updates that will take your child’s learning experience to the next level! Beginning in 2025, we’ll be transitioning all students to our Standard Plan, which includes a slight price adjustment, and lessons through the holidays. Here’s why this change is happening and how it benefits you:


What’s New?

Better Teachers, Better Lessons: We’re offering our amazing teachers permanent part-time contracts, ensuring more stability with fewer teacher absences and stronger, long-term teacher-student relationships. We are the first and only music school in Canberra to be able to achieve this.

Top-Tier Resources: We’ve recently done a lot of upgrades to all teaching rooms — new computers, Ableton Live Suite 12 software and hardware, recording microphones, acoustic treatment, etc. We’ve also added online storage (via Google Drive) for students to access Guitar Pro 8 files, MuseScore projects, and exam videos, and term reports.

More Opportunities: Enjoy more concerts, workshops, and recording sessions to help your children grow as musicians.

Support for Our Community: This initiative supports live music venues, local music stores, and creates career pathways for aspiring musicians and teachers in Canberra.

Continuous Lessons: Students will experience less interruptions and have more continuity in their lessons by attending all year round (48 weeks per year), including school holidays. Teachers will have a more stable income without dips four times a year, making it a more sustainable and desirable career choice for Canberra musicians!


What Does This Mean for You?

You’ll experience:

How it will affect pricing:

  • The lesson cost is going down but you’ll be paying for a couple of extra lessons per term

  • Where you were paying $51 per lesson in 2024, you’ll be paying $50 per lesson in 2025

    Where you paying for 10 lessons a term in 2024, you’ll be paying for 12 lessons a term in 2025

  • The price is changing from $85 per fortnight to $100 per fortnight

  • The price is changing from $160 per fortnight to $190 per fortnight

  • For one child, the price is changing from $225 per fortnight to $260 per fortnight

What happens if you go away during holidays:

  • If you go away for just one week, we will offer you makeup lesson with your child’s teacher, another teacher or on another instrument (this can be a great opportunity for children to try our different instruments and expand their musicianship!

  • If you are going away for the full two weeks or longer, you can still suspend lessons for that duration, as long as it is no more than four weeks and we will not bill you during that time.

What if it is no longer affordable:

  • You are not locked into a contract and can cancel at any time
