In parallel, students will engage in comprehensive training to master sophisticated piano techniques and acquire fluency in reading musical notation.
To elevate the learning experience, we infuse our curriculum with interactive and captivating activities. These skill-building games not only make learning pleasurable but also serve to reinforce crucial fundamentals. Our pedagogical approach marries clarity with ambition: we offer explicit instructional guidelines, delineate realistic yet challenging practice objectives, and operate a merit-based point system to acknowledge and incentivise young students' ongoing commitment and achievements.
curriculum
Our teaching framework relies on two esteemed curriculums: the innovative SuperSonics Method Books and the comprehensive Alfred's All-in-One Adult Books. These diverse approaches allow us to cater to a range of learning styles and skill levels.
For your convenience, all piano textbooks are readily available for acquisition at our front desk. As an introductory bonus, students are presented with a booklet during their first lesson, intended for home review and to be used during subsequent lessons.
Once students have reached a certain level of mastery, we enthusiastically recommend undertaking AMEB examinations. Our dedicated staff can expertly guide you through the various levels, and even facilitate the exam booking process for you (note: exam fees are to be covered by the students). This formal assessment can serve as a valuable milestone in your musical journey.
HOME PRACTICE
Learners receive a practice journal designed to chronicle their practice sessions, serving as an invaluable tool for parental involvement and a motivational boost for youngsters, eliminating the need for constant prodding to practice.
Though practice isn't strictly mandatory, it comes highly recommended for students who aim to progress swiftly and extract the utmost value from their lessons.
